This is an excellent example of the contemporary fermented teas (industrial fermented Shu Cha). It was designed by Lan Ting Chun, a small factory in the Yong De (Lincang) area. It was one of the first private establishments to produce fermented Pu Erh (Shu Cha) in the 1990s.

 

The leaves came from a late-grade autumn harvest, i.e., buds and young leaves, from the Yong De area. This type of fine grade usually produces very dense liquors, particularly rich flavors and very contemporary flavors.
