The introduction of Gongfu Cha
What is Gongfu Cha?
Gongfu Cha is generally taken as a term that describe the Chinese way of making tea. Does it really has something to do with the martial art – Kungfu? The answer is: yes and no. To win your enemy, one needs practice, know-how, strategy and concentration. These are also similar in practising Gongfu Cha: practice, know-how, understanding the nature of the tea and concentration.
Generally, Gongfu Cha is often seen as brewing one tea with multiple steeping. Which is one of the very different style compare to tea brewing in the western style with a big teapot of at least 1L. And the tea would only be brewed one time.
In the case of Gongfu Cha, the teaware are much smaller, like toy kitchen. And there are more than one way of brewing methods, nor one kind of teaware. Why? How does that function? If you want to know why, come and join us for a cup of tea.
<工欲善其事，必先利其器> Means: to be able to perfect a task, first we need the right tools. Of course, for tea brewing, that would be the teaware.
